Sofa on a Background
This past week whenever I had planned to go out and photos of various backgrounds the weather was not on my side and was too dark and gloomy. I'm hoping that this week there will be some sunshine and if not I'll have to stick to dark photos and hopefuly do some work to them on Photoshop.
In the meantime I've found a picture of a road from
here and have put one of the sofas onto the background to see what sort of thing I'll be coming across. For example, shadowing is a big part of the whole image and I will have to place shadows onto the sofa in comparison to the lighting in the background image...

First Attempts
I've started to do some work on getting just the sofa from the entire photo. I used the Lasso Tool to go roughly around the edges of the sofa.

Photo of my bag...
This is actually a photo I took of part of my bag. I really like this floral desing, The bright colours make it attractive and vibrant. I would really like my images to create the same feeling.
The Sofa
So, after talking to Michael it seemed that the best idea which had been formed from my mind map was the object 'sofa'. I came to this through thinking of
arrival lounge, then
sofa. My first thoughts on how to make it creative and interesting is this... To have 5 different sofas (1 for each page) and contrast it onto a different background/environment:
Sofas -----> home, Grandma's, student halls lounge, Aunty Christine's (1), Aunty Christine's (2)
Backgrounds -----> forest, park, town, city, beach, train station, car park, shopping mall
I would like to have some sort of hand drawn image included in the page. I thought I could do this by having an abstract, floral type of design which situated in the corners of the image. I would like this design to be pinks and purples as through my research of looking at images I find this very appealing and I think it would add a sense of femininity to the picture.
Images...
1. This image is my favourite out of the ones I have found. I think the colours and shapes are asthetically pleasing to the eye. I think the colours are the main impact because I like purples and pinks which is what this image is but with hints of green in it. If you look more closely you can see intricate patterns which give the image depth.

2. I really like the silhouette in this picture, I think it emphasises the couple's kiss and is set on a beautiful purple background
3. I actually have this image as my myspace background. I like the simplicity of it and yet it is an 'unreal sunset' which is what it is called. The way the sun is so bright means your eyes are drawn in by it.

4. I think that the movement captured in this image is fascinating. It is a very smooth looking image, the colours are very cool and overall it looks very sleek.

5. Similar to the previous image in terms of movement, I love the way the movement of light in the city is captured. It really portrays city life as fast-moving and energetic like the lights in the photo. I talso reminds me of a music video, can't think right now which one, maybe Pink!!?? Or actually, The Spice Girls '2 become 1'!!!!
